JNTU is a leading university in Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in the year 1981 and was renamed Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University at Anantapur in 2012. History Of JNTU
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) was founded in 1985 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This is one of the top universities in India that offer a variety of courses in engineering, technology, and management. What to Expect from the Campus
The campus is situated in the outskirts of Hyderabad on a sprawling green area, with a vast lake adjoining it and all the structures built around it. It is not just a university but also an educational hub, hosting schools and colleges of engineering, management, law, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, humanities as well as other disciplines.
The Academic Block has lecture halls for engineering courses in various disciplines like Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering; laboratories for Chemical Engineering; Mechanical lab; Electronics lab etc.
The Library is one of the largest in South Asia with over 500000 books (both hardbound and softbound) that are regularly updated.

Facilities at the Campus
The campus has a total of seven hostels for girls and boys. The girls’ hostel is located on the northeast side of the campus and can accommodate around 1,000 students. It has two sections, one for day scholars and another for resident students.
There are three major buildings in this section: an Administrative Block (A-Block), a Library Block (LB), and a Lecture Theatre Block (LTB).
The Boys’ Hostel is located near the main entrance to the campus on the southwest side. It can accommodate about 600 boys.

Hostel Details
