A Look at the Student Information and Enrollment System from NIELIT

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, NIELIT, offers technological solutions to government organizations in India, providing technical leadership and direction as well as project management capabilities to ensure the successful implementation of large-scale, multi-technology applications and solutions that harness the power of information technology.

The education system in India

The education system in India is one of the oldest in the world. The structure of the system is based on the Guru-Shishya tradition, which is a system of learning in which a Guru (teacher) imparts knowledge to a Shishya (student). This system is still in practice in many parts of India.

The education system in India can be broadly divided into three parts: formal education, non-formal education, and informal education. Formal education is imparted in schools and colleges and is based on the curriculum set by the government. Non-formal education is provided outside the formal education system and includes vocational training and adult education. Informal education is the education that people receive through everyday life experiences, such as through family, friends, and the media.
